Today one of my friends brought me and a couple others to Scott Tower. I've picnicked several times at Community Field when I was younger but never knew this whole impressive park lied just behind the gate under the overpasses. I was at a loss for words at the astonishing view from the peak of the tower, and seeing this place peaked an interest I've always had in the history of the area. Mostly, "What is this?" and "What happened to it?" I went online and found your article from the Valley Advocate and I wholly appreciate it. I learned a great deal and plan on showing more of my friends the park. I was also excited to find this blog and that you keep it updated. I plan on adding a bookmark to my toolbar!
I'm almost 20 and a photo major at HCC and have lived in the area since I was born (in Holyoke, Chicopee, and now Springfield) and I love visiting beautiful places like this one in the area. It reminds me of trips to the Summit House, the Poet's Seat Tower, and Sugarloaf. I'd love to learn about more places like those and even more of the ones I do know about. I think it's sad how so many people in my generation don't know of the beauty that is literally in their backyards. I'd love some more information as to whether anything could be done to help the park out or even just about the park or the W. Mass area in general. Thank you for what you've written and shown and I look forward to discovering more!

Hi Joe, Many people run into my blog by looking up something about Holyoke. Often there's not much out there, so I try to fill the gaps. This is third time I've posted about scott tower in as many years.
I checked out your blog, you write really well, better than me, and take great photos. Too bad there's no money in blogging.
