I kind of like our Charlie Brown-ish looking tree. In the current economic climate it seems just right.

Sorry to all my blog fans. My health hasn't been good of late, and sitting in front of a computer doesn't make for much aerobic exercise either. Something I am suppose to get more of.
So I have been thinking of changing the way my blog works, adding more contributors, or just starting another blog. Perhaps called 'Holyoke Ramblings'. Any thoughts?

Post at your own pace, VanDog; it's your blog...
I like going to your blog & reading *your* posts and seeing *your* photos. If you're thinking of a community blog, what about pushing http://holyoke.ning.com a bit more?
Another option is http://tumblr.com - you can configure it to automatically pull your flickr RSS, and you can post via email ... So we don't lose out on your photos (we'll probably get more!), or your words since it is so easy to post (so you'd be more likely to do it a little more frequently).
Whatever you decide, Tony isn't wrong either.
I'm with Tony... This place is really yours and should remain so.
I'm sorry to hear you haven't been well.
I really really hope you are feeling better soon, if not immediately.
I think you should do what you need to do to be well and happy.
I know we already discussed it but I really like the idea of a more organic 'community' blog. Where you would control the content and who posts but could collaborate with others so you did not feel as pressured to post something every now and then. There are a good handful of Holyoke Bloggers who only post about Holyoke sporadically, having them all in one place instead of several neglected blogs would work. Also, as I understood it.. we were talking about a new blog, not taking over THIS blog, right? Peters blog would still be Peters Blog and the Rambling Holyoke would be an offshoot. Like Cheers.. and then Frasier, which was just as awesome as Cheers but in a whole other way.
I love the idea of using tumblr too.
And I agree with Maggie.. you should do what will make you feel the most relaxed and the least pressured.
I would be happy to contribute the few posts I do about Holyoke.
Ultimately you have to do whatever is best for you.
I love the Holyoke Ramblings idea. We have been discussing opening up our new blog www.helloholyoke.com to other contributors so that we can get more information/opinions out there (a friend suggested having people in each ward posting about news/events). I like the idea of Holyoke Ramblings as well.
I also sorely miss the weekly news stories lists.

Thank You everyone for all the input.
I've thought about putting more focus on the Holyoke social network at http://holyoke.ning.com . I also like the idea of using the new www.helloholyoke.com as a community blog. Ultimately we need something that will keep visitors and contributors coming back.
Perhaps all the interested parties should have a meeting to discuss this further.
A meeting is a great idea, maybe next weekend, between the Holidays. We could have it at my place, it would give me a reason to clean up! Or the Dam Cafe one afternoon?
