Setting up for the Holyoke Christmas Train.

I've been contracted by Santa again this year to set up the passenger car for his special Holyoke Christmas Train.

Santa doesn't pay very well, mostly candy canes, but I do get use of the passenger car for a day. Maybe I'll throw a big rave party in here, or maybe Santa won't like that idea.

I'm not done yet. There's still a lot of decorations to put up, if we can find them, and I think the tree needs more lights. lol!

I love these photos.
I was just thinking this morning that it seems like Holyoke hides its best assets. Why is that? If you go to other city websites, there is information about upcoming community events, pictures of the people who live in the city, other current and pertinent information.
We have a small newspaper that publishes events that happened three weeks ago, no information on an events calendar on the city's webpage (and it takes three or four clicks to get to that page), etc, etc.
Why is Holyoke hiding?
(end of caffeine-enduced rant. I miss Hello, Holyoke, and I wasn't even here when it was)
Great photos. They should be on the city's front page, along with the info for Santa's arrival at the park.

Dur.. I have no idea what this is, where it is or why it is. Can you tell me more?
Things like this should SO be all over Holyoke! Why do we hide?
Thanks guys, I will post more about this soon. Here is what I wrote on the Brightside portion of last years train. I don't think we are doing the Bright part this year.
i agree w/ the above posts. I had no idea this event existed. I have two little girls that would love it.
Thanks for linking to the April post on the Brightside kids. So Brightside isn't involved this year?
I don't think brightside could muster enough staff to do it again. Sisters of Providence is collapsing under State budget cuts.
Great pictures, as always! This is a great event!!! I heard about it through the grapevine last year and my daughter loved it! Thanks for reminding me... I may have missed it this year.
